A Fresh New Look for Bowling Green’s Function Room
Having last been refurbished approximately six years earlier, the function room at Bowling Green was beginning to look tired and no longer fully supported the way the venue wanted to operate.
HFC Group was appointed directly by the client to refresh the overall look and feel of the room while making a series of practical changes to improve its use during functions. The brief included creating a more permanent hot food counter, establishing a clearly defined dance floor and improving the flow between the function room and bar.
The room was fully redecorated with an updated colour scheme, including a refreshed finish to the front of the existing bar. New feature flooring was installed to give the room greater character while helping to distinguish the dedicated dance floor from the surrounding seating and service areas.
HFC Group also completed the joinery and tiling required to create the new hot food service counter. Careful alterations to the layout improved movement around the room and allowed the bar and catering team to serve guests more efficiently during busy events.
The Outcome
The completed refurbishment demonstrates how carefully considered changes can have a significant impact without requiring a large construction budget.
The new flooring, decorations and bar finishes have given the function room a brighter, more welcoming appearance. At the same time, the dedicated dance floor, permanent food counter and improved operational flow have made the space considerably more practical for staff and guests.
By concentrating the available budget on the areas that would make the greatest difference, HFC Group delivered a refreshed and more functional events space that Bowling Green can continue to use for a wide variety of celebrations and functions.
